AIRCRAFT ON GROUND

AOG is a clock.

An aircraft on ground is a cost that runs by the hour. The protocol below is designed to remove the two things that waste that clock: incomplete requirements, and stock represented as available before it has been verified.

The sequence

In order.

01

Requirement Captured

Part number, quantity, condition, certification, platform, aircraft registration and delivery point taken in a single exchange.

02

Sources Interrogated

Distributor, operator surplus, repair station and manufacturer channels checked against the requirement in parallel rather than in sequence.

03

Availability Verified

Physical stock, condition and certification confirmed with the holder. Nothing is quoted as available on the strength of a listing alone.

04

Documents Checked

Release certification, trace and life data reviewed for acceptability to the receiving authority before the part moves.

05

Movement Booked

Routing, courier or hand-carry, customs documentation and delivery to the aircraft coordinated against the required time, not the working day.
